Dirk Shumaker seems to be the most popular member of the band. Not surprisingly! He's quite talented, not only at the bass, but he sings too! He sang on the last song of "Americana Deluxe" (So Long, Fare Well, Bye Bye) and he also sang "'Zat you, Santa Claus?" on the band's second album "Whatchu Want For Christmas", as well as singing back up for many of the songs on all the albums. He's not that bad to look at, either! :o) His favorite bands include the Beatles. He's also known, so I've heard, for his fantastic smile (And I must say, I agree with everybody else on this one: the dude's got a great smile!) and his politeness. Awh... what a sweetie!
